About Us







Douglas Elementary School is located in Douglas, Alabama. Douglas has a population of approximately 750, but the Douglas schools serve a much wider area. The town of Douglas is the southwestern corner of Marshall County. Douglas like much of Marshall County it is located on Sand Mountain  in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The town and surrounding area is made up largely of small family farms. Most community members work in various industries in the surrounding cities.

DES is a Marshall County School and is located on the same campus with Robert Sloman Primary, Douglas Middle School and Douglas High School.
